I'm
not a fucking farmer so what would I be doing ploughing a furrow?
Leave the lame metaphors to the bespectacled cleverdick, and
if you want to keep the peace don't mention him in the same
paragraph as me.
The songs on this album didn't loom
large - they aren't the
soundtrack to our love affair or some other such vomit-inducing
ridiculousness. They're just a collection of songs that we
enjoyed recording, a lot of which we've featured in our live
shows over the past three years or so.
I'm not embarrassed by our version of Fernando, it has a great
tension to it and brings out something in the song that the
Abba version misses. So we'll have to agree to differ on that.
Apart from that, all I need to know now is what does counterintuitively mean? We're not a couple of idiot savants - we actually worked
out the harmonies using notes and chords.
That said we're pretty well thrilled to have a review in The
Sunday Times. Hope you're as thrilled with my review of the
review.
