Weekend Hotlist:
By Scott Mervis

Sunday

What does Bon Jovi have to do with the Steelers? Who knows? But he's playing the big Steelers Championship Celebration at Heinz Field, he's a nice guy and we might as well go along for the ride. The Jersey rocker -- a co-owner of the Arena Football League team the Philadelphia Soul -- will headline the
show with Nickelback. Along with hits like "Livin' on a Prayer," "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "It's My Life," you'll get appearances by favorite Steelers, a video tribute to the Championship Season and the unveiling of the World Championship Column. It begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $39.50 to $125. Call 412-323-1919 and see Sunday's On the Go section for an interview.

Wreckless Eric, a member of the Stiff Records roster along with Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe, turns up at the Brillobox. He never had a big pop hit -- "Whole Wide World" was his best known song -- but his sense of humor and bitter, catchy pop songs have made him a cult figure. Pittsburgh garage/surf combo Teen Riot will open and also back Eric on several numbers. The show is at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10.

We arrived early in Pittsburgh so that we could visit the Warhol Museum, but we couldn't get near it because of a traffic jam thanks to Jon Bon (which is almost French for ham).

I did the right thing though, put him on the list - Jon Bon Jovi plus one (in case he wanted to bring a friend). I'm sure he never knew and it probably wouldn't have made any difference to him, and he certainly never showed up, but it's the thought that counts. I expect he noticed a few gaps in the crowd thanks to me. (I don't think so.)
