Hotels & Shagging / Released Monday 8th January, 2001

It took a long time what with track repairs, major roadworks, leaves on the line, plumbing, flood damage, financial hardship, pestilence - and quite possibly lack of motivation, laziness, mood swings, ear ache, neck ache, stomach ache, brain ache, household removals, equipment malfunction, points failure, re-wiring, plastering, coastal errosion, undercoating, glossing, fluff on the stylus, displacements, market value fluctuations, cut backs, set backs and burst condoms - but here it is. Next time I'll try and come quicker.

Pillories Of The State

Next Sunday 7th January, 2001 I'm appearing (if appearing is the right word for being on the radio) on Radio 4 on a programme called Pillories Of The State. Every week a panel discuss various industries or institutions, and I get to deliver a three minute monologue on the subject under discussion. This week it's the art industry. The programme starts at 7.15pm after The Archers and you can find Radio 4 on 198 Long Wave or 92.4 – 94.6 FM – I don't know how that translates if you're sitting in a cabin in Honolulu with one of those high powered receivers that journalists are supposed to use – you'll just have to do the best you can. I expect to be hyped on to Pick Of The Week. Stardom beckons etc…

Happy 2001 by the way. A traditional New Year address could follow shortly.
